Laser Assisted Cataract & RLE Surgery
What is Laser Assisted Cataract and RLE Surgery (FLACS)?
This surgical option is a more gentle and customized approach that allows for a higher degree of precision and accuracy during your surgery compared to the traditional manual technique. This techniques used a femotosecond laser to create a precise opening in the cornea and the capsule that holds the natural lens allowing your surgeons to access your cataract or clear lens. In addition, the laser is used to soften and break your natural lens into smaller pieces to allow for a more gentle removal of the lens. Because of these unique features recovery time from laser assisted surgeries tends to be shorter. This option is offered through a private surgical center in Saskatoon, Horizon Laser Vision Center.
